Asian Women United of Minnesota (AWUM) recognizes the power of the arts to inspire and raise awareness. We utilize the arts to be centered and connected, both individually and collectively. We know art can heal and transform us.
Artwork from past programs
The arts play a critical role in building and nurturing safe and healthy relationships as we work together to end domestic violence. Please view our online arts exhibition below with works created by AWUM participants, and those created by the community at large in support of the families we serve.

AWUM Children’s Program,
Ordinary to Extraordinary,

Untold Stories
The Talking Suitcase Project is one example of how we use art at AWUM to help women process trauma and talk about their hope for themselves and their families.

Donate
We rely on the support of our individual donors. Every donation goes directly toward helping improve the lives of the women and children we serve. Domestic violence is an overwhelming issue, but even a small donation can have an enormous impact.
Volunteer
Volunteering can be a deeply rewarding experience. Everyone who is involved in our effort is a part of changing lives, not just for one woman or one child, but for all of us. We truly are changing the world, one person at a time.
